we would all love to see jerry involved but it seems painful truth is the other band members wouldn't

WELL THEY SHOULD NOT BE PERFORMING UNDER THE NAME OF THE SPECIALS THEN (THE BAND THAT HE FOUNDED) Idea
Is the Jam the Jam without P.Weller,The Beatles the Beatles without John Lennon,The Stones without Jagger Question

I think you'll find the Stones were founded by Brian Jones, not Jagger & Richards. Maybe the should not call themselves the Stones after they kicked him out in '69?

Yes I've seen Foxton and Buckler and the other fella a couple of times, but they weren't called 'The Jam' they were called 'From The Jam' which makes a distinction between the two.Do you get it Question Question Question

Genesis lost their lead singer/founding member....other recent examples of bands that are missing a member....The Manics...Sugarbabes...Take That...they all seemed to do alright...!

Don't you just love my examples...? Laughing

The door has been left open for Jerry whatever has gone on between them all...nothing we can do about it...unless you physically pick Jerry up from home and take him to each venue and make him play with the others!

I'm happy to see the six of them...and when booking tickets their six names are listed, so you've been told by the ticket vendors.

A Special told me that they all signed a contract last year to reform, so unless you have a copy of that contract...?

Anyway, that's the end of it from me...as you were...! Cool

If Jerry decides to join th line-up for the tour I think we should all be happy to have him on board, But it will not be the end of the world if he chooses not to. The differences & fall outs between the original seven have been well documented & analyised to death & to be honest I dont think a Specials tour with or without Jerry Dammers will make the slightest bit of difference to the fans. most of us do want Jerry back on board, but if it doesnt happen there is still much to be excited about, I for one cant wait for April Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I saw Weller twice this year and twice he did "Eaton Rifles" and "Town Called Malice"...I did shout "Oi Weller, no...you stick to your Peacock Suit and your Wild Wild Wood"...but did he listen...?

hi folks this is my1st post to this site.I have looked at it for years but never joined until now.I joined to give my support for Jerry and hope he get's it together for the tour.I know theres been much comment on this site about it, but It would be brilliant if he was present on tour as without him Two-tone wouldnt have happened and if it is to be a proper reunion then Mr Dammers must be present. Very Happy

And the point of everyone bickering about something way beyond our control is...?

Have a word with yerselves please, JD is, so far, NOT gonna be there. If you don't like it don't go, if you have your tickets & don't like it - stop whinging and just ENJOY YOURSELF!! There are more important things in life, or shall we all meet up & fight it out? Laughing
