European City of Culture 2013 ,i cant wait for this event to put this city on the map been the talk of the town since they were awarded it last week with a population of approx 120,000 were gonna show the whole of the UK how to party ,after beating Birmingham and Norwich questions are being ask about venues for The Brit Award and The Baftas as nowhere seems big enough ,but everything will be ok i hope and youse will enjoy Londonderry / Derrys wee adventure ,I will keep youse up to date as it happens ,but already the tourism chiefs have scored an own goal after advertising a competition for a four day break in the city they had a disclaimer stating that they would not except responsibility for peoples personal safety if they won the competition this was printed in an national paper on monday

things are looking good the first event before 2013 city of culture

The UK's City of Culture 2013, Derry-Londonderry, has today announced it is become part of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race with an official city boat in the race. In addition the city will be an official host port, welcoming the ten-strong fleet in July 2012 with a showcase festival.

And are new peace bridge will be ready in october this year things are really changing in this great wee city things seem to getting better and better ,
