The irony of the time was that people were complaining about 'bloody foreigners coming over here' when in fact the Windrush generation all held British Empire Passports, as they were know back then.

What is even more ironic is that Enoch Powell, when he was Tory Health Minister invited woman from the Caribbean to come to Britain and train as nurses, back in the days when, in true Al Murray fashion, women could only be a secretary or nurse. Good Girl.
