Have just got back from a short post christmas family break in Norfolk. Took a phone call about 4.25 yesterday with the shocking news just as I was getting onto an ice rink. Absolutely gutted. Treasured memories of meeting him at gigs and in the real world. Thoughts to his family at this time. RIP JB. |

I can't believe my friend has gone it's so sudden & so shocking. We had some times together I can tell you! John was the most exciting drummer I've ever had the pleasure to play with. My thoughts are with his family. A great man who will be missed. |

He looked remarkable too - the whole band have aged well, they look good -but none more so than jb

He looked well for someone even half his age.
Does anyone what the cause of death was? He just looked to fit and healthy. _________________ Richard Eddington is innocent.

First of all, like all before me, I'd like to express my deepest sympathy to Brad's family and close friends
I like to stay off the grid during my holidays, whether it be here or abroad, so I didn't hear of Brad's passing until yesterday. It's one of the most shocking pieces of news I've ever received and made me feel quite sick. Absolutely unbelievable.
Upon reflection though I found a certain solace in the knowledge that I think Brad was really enjoying the reunion. It certainly came across that way in his playing and interviews.
Though he will be sorely missed by all, he seemed to be Enjoying Himself to the end.
RIP JB _________________ "And he listens to his stereo" |

The past 12 months started with the death of Lemmy, then Brad, then Bowie and just worse and worse as the months went on.

That Sgt Pepper Photo has been updated now to include Brad tucked in just behind Hilda Ogden.
That year sure passed quick. RIP BRAD.

Brad's passing still saddens me. From the age of 15 I tapped away with my mums knitting needles, rulers etc. trying to copy Brad.
Now at the age of nearly 50 I've finally got a drum kit! (My mid life crisis☺?)
I have none of the ability, technique or skill that Brad had but I have fun making a racket and trying to do him a little bit of justice. Would have loved to met him or better still had a masterclass - i seem to remember he taught Chris Moyles how to do the Too Much Too Young intro......
Still trying to learn about his technique, equipment etc if anyone knows of any good stuff I might of missed when googling I'd appreciate a nod in the right direction!
Long live JB!!! |
