Such sad news and such a shock. A brilliant drummer and such an integral part of The Specials. RIP Brad.

Gutted What a phenomenal musician and lovely person. What an incredibly sad day. I'm so glad I was fortunate enough to witness Brad's most recent glory days behind the kit, and to meet him. Brad will be very much missed but never forgotten, sincere condolences to his family & friends xx _________________ "The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind."

Cannot believe the backbone of The Specials is on the last train to Skaville. He will pick up Lemmy on the way, have a good chat and collaborate tunes to play together beyond any stage. Brads drumming and Lemmys singing will resonate forever. So sad to hear this news today. Privileged to have seen The Specials numerous times, met Brad at the Ally Pally, a true gentleman. So, so SAD.
God bless. _________________ Ben Williams

No doubt there will be many tributes and anecdotes of Brad in the coming days ... I only met him once which was at Edinburgh Airport on way to Dublin ... I had been in the front row at the Edinburgh gig the night before and my ears were still ringing. His reply to my "stating the bleeding obvious" remark that he sure hit those skins hard .... "only way I know how mate" .....

Very very sad to hear this. Like Rico who we also sadly lost this year he carried on with Jerry Dammers into the Special AKA so he was the drummer in two of my fave bands and the JB All Stars made great singles too. RIP

Post subject: Jerry remembers Brad
Jerry Dammers remembers John 'Brad' Bradbury, drummer with The Specials, who sadly died on Monday 28th December 2015.
"Hearing of Brad’s death has been a great shock to me and it is a very sad day indeed. I was friends with Brad and the two of us shared a house some time before the Specials . He was highly intelligent, had a very mischievous sense of humour which could be very funny, and he played the drums with an incredible amount of energy which was a very important part of the Specials' sound and live shows. We had some really great times together and it is truly tragic that he has died so young. My thoughts are with all his family".
