“A FEW VERSES ON THE SUBJECT OF TUITION FEE RISES”
Money spent on devastation
Should be spent on education
Same degree for rich and poor
No selection any more.
Most people never get a chance
Their lives are planned out in advance
Poor education by the state
Means they can’t differentiate
Those in power know the score
They never wanna educate the poor
Those in power know the story
Never educate the poor
The right is wrong the left is right
Education is our might
A means to help us find a way
To welcome in a better day.

Love of country follows from the love of its freedoms, not from pride in its fleets, its armies or its gross domestic product...

Paul, how come when I play that track on U.Tube It's an instrumental?
What song do those lyrics come from please?
Also, would you say JB"s Allstars were jazz/funk? what would a ska/rocksteady treatment of his songs be like?
Did Brad write all of the JB Allstars songs?
Thanks Paul xxx _________________ marigold |

Mary
John Bradbury wrote The Alphabet Army but most of their other releases were cover versions but Brad wrote all the B. Sides which have a Dub Reggae feel. I would agree that the JB's are a funk/Soul band it's a shame they didn't record an LP at the time
here they are live on The Tube

Many thanks Paul I appreciate that! and the videos : )
Did you ever see them live?
I hope you have that excellent collection of yours seperately appraised and an inventory - just from the one you mention, I can imagine how extensive and how much It would cost to collect now. There are probably Items that are irreplaceable.
Thanks so much _________________ marigold

Thanks Mary
I bought most of my Collection long before Ebay in Record Shops and I paid normal prices not silly money. I do have a few irreplaceable Items that haven't been consumed by the general public as yet 1979 was a good year glad you enjoyed the Video _________________ I'm having bags of fun |
